Maximum trees should be planted and they should also be maintained - Hon'ble Justice Shri Deepak Sibal

Fazilka, June (Harkiran Jeet Singh Ramgarhia) As per the guidelines of Hon'ble Justice Shri Deepak Sibal, Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority and under the guidance of Madam Navjot Kaur, Hon'ble Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, trees were planted in the Judicial Court Complex, Fazilka on 06th June 2025 by the District Legal Services Authority, Fazilka during the "Tree Planting Campaign".


This program was organized by S. Avtar Singh, Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Fazilka and under the supervision of Madam Himanshi Galhotra, Hon’ble Chief Judicial Magistrate. On this occasion, various types of saplings were planted by the court staff and officers associated with legal services. The aim of which was to spread awareness among the people about the importance of trees in family, social and environmental terms.
On this occasion, Madam Himanshi Galhotra, Hon’ble Chief Judicial Magistrate informed that a motivational slogan “Har aur lakdhara hai phir bhi peh kahan hare hai” has been issued by the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court. She said that this slogan gives us the message that despite the excessive cutting of trees on them, trees continue to serve the society. We should protect the environment by becoming indifferent in the form of clean air, shade, and oxygen.


He appealed to the people to plant more and more trees, take care of them, and become a participant in leaving a clean and green environment for the future generation. He also informed that the "Plant a Tree Campaign" will be run from 05 June to 05 July 2025, during which saplings will be planted in various villages and areas of Fazilka district through awareness campaigns.

He said that this campaign will not be limited to just planting trees, but will also encourage people to be responsible for environmental conservation and motivate them for permanent care of trees.
